How we make our clothing matters, and we’re committed to the people who produce it. Since 2007, we’ve been educating and empowering these women through the Gap Inc. P.A.C.E. Program, which provides them with the skills and confidence to change the course of their lives. Our goal is to impact 1 million women by 2020.

Gap Inc. P.A.C.E.
Clearly expressing a point of view. Managing a budget. Preparing healthier meals. P.A.C.E. teaches women and girls around the world critical skills for navigating life both at work and at home. The coursework and discussions unlock new possibilities and shift their perception of themselves and their abilities. As a result, many women who have participated say that P.A.C.E. has helped them become more confident, leading them to set bigger goals and successfully work to achieve them.
Gap Inc. launched P.A.C.E. (Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement) in 2007 to help advance and inspire the women who make our clothes. In 2013, after realizing the life-changing impact it was having on participants, P.A.C.E. expanded to include women in communities beyond the workplace. In 2016, P.A.C.E. expanded even further to include a program for adolescent girls (ages 13 – 17) in schools and other community settings in order to give them earlier access to valuable life skills and the opportunity to shape their futures. Through P.A.C.E., we are committed to reaching one million women + girls around the world by 2020.
