I bought this for my newborn--she's small but not a preemie (now fitting into newborn clothes). I ordered the "up to 7 lbs size" (She's 7.5 right now), and the hat absolutely swallows her head- the actual hat is far too big, and the band on the bottom does not offer any "tightness" to avoid the hat ...
