With so many hit-n-misses in my last few purchases, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fabric is actually soft, but not too thin. And the style and fit are, indeed, like it used to be (i guess, that's the "vintage" part) - not ridiculously fitted, not cropped, no too-l...ow neck lines etc. I got black, so it is possible that other colours may have all those "flaws," but this black works for me (so far). Also, I got Tall (I am not that tall, but got used to sizing up to avoid all those cropped/overly fitted "modern" styles), so, maybe, that's why it works for me.
Tried on an XS in store. Fit a bit oversized which was perfect as I knew it would shrink. The fabric had an almost linen blend feel and I liked it. So I decided to buy 4 online: white, black, light pink, navy. They finally came in (later than my PAID for shipping timeframe) and they were at least 2-...3 sizes smaller than in store, the fabric was a soft jersey feel and they were long and tight. The navy was larger than all the other shirts but same size. I took a picture of the label in store and confirmed the shirt with an employee while there so I have no idea what happened?? It's a completely different shirt. I'm 5'1, 110 lbs, 34DD, and an XS is way too tight in my chest area and probably 5 inches longer than the shirt in store. Gaps sizing, in any of their clothing, is so inconsistent. I can take sizes in their jeans ranging from 24-28. Items in store sometimes do not match online. Sizes in store sometimes do not match online. Closest Gap to me is an hour drive. Since I bought $200 worth of clothes, plus paid for faster shipping, I now need to make the drive to a store to find correct sizes in person, as well as the correct items.

gap.com/I stopped buying Gap sweats a year or two ago because of inconsistent sizing. Now, the Vintage T's as well :-( Nine were purchased, all the same size, and it's as if I got a mix of S, M, and L. What's going on Gap???

gap.com/The navy blue color is as expected. The fabric is lightweight and cheap feeling and I ordered a Tall size since regular sizes are too short on my 5'7" frame. The tall size sits where I'd expect a regular length to be. If it weren't for the cheap feeling fabric I probably would have kept it.

gap.com/I purchased three of these VintageSoft T-Shirts because of the organic cotton. I ordered regular, even though I am (technically) petite in height. Have not placed them in the dryer, but I hang them outside to dry, then iron them. These t-shirts are SOOOO Comfortable. They drape nicely on the body, and the organic cotton feels scrumptious. I've always liked GAP clothing, since I was young - MANY YEARS ago, when I was young, and I still love GAP styling now that I'm OLD(er).

This version is a tad longer and thinner than the ones I've purchased in the past few years. Although I wish this style was on the boxier side, it works for various rise pants that I own. I bought the XS petite like I normally do. I returned the red one but kept 3 black ones.
