Fits large

The jeans themselves are good (comfortable material and cut), but the issues with Gap jeans fitting differently every time is real. I have other jeans from Gap that I like in a size 28, but these fit a bit too big. I understand that where the jeans waist hit on my waist makes an impact on the sizing...

Not even close to High Rise in Tall sizes

Star rating applies only to the "Tall" size I bought. Purchased these because my Classic Straight High Rise jeans are *perfect* and I wear them almost dail, but are no longer being sold under than name. Bought the exact same size (31T), and these are nearly 2in shorter in the rise and hit like a mid...

I purchased a size 29 and they are perfect. Oddly, the last time I wore 1990s light blue jeans was in the 1990s when I was twenty pounds lighters and always wearing GAP 29 or 30 (Fluctuated on cut). Sizes have changed!!! OMG! America has gotten fat! I am laughing about size comments. Think hard about this one. People are stating to go two sizes up...

Absolutely love the fit! Fitted through hips and thighs and then straight leg. I am 5'4" and purchased the petite which is great length with runners, heels, flats.

Fit is perfect!

154lbs, 40"-30"-40" and height 5'6". I have an extraordinarily long torso, so these jeans are really not high-waisted on my body, more of a mid-rise. They are a little snug on my butt and loose at the back of the waist, but this is about the best fit I can get from "straight" sizing rather than "curve" styles. Unfortunately, the curve version of these jeans doesn't come in black, so I have to take what I can get. That being said, for what they are I'm really happy with these jeans! The "black wash" color is a slightly warm tone, but still a true black--NOT faded-looking. The regular length is perfect (hope they don't shrink!). The pockets are deep enough to fit my whole hand FOR ONCE. And I absolutely LOVE that they are 99% cotton instead of a mix of cotton/poly/viscose/whatever since it means they won't stretch out and should last a long time. Last time I bought Gap jeans was several years ago and took a size 29. This time, I needed size 30 even though I'm the same weight. Not sure if it's body changes or sizing changes, but either way, I think size 30 seems true to size given my measurements. Am very tempted to buy more colors!

Nice jeans but fit VERY small

These are nice jeans in a nice wash. I am a 27 in jeans. I was looking for a pair that fits looser, so I was going to order a 28. In reading the reviews, I decided to order a 29 as well to be safe. The 29's fit like a 27. And there was no point trying on the 28. These fit super super small, you need to size up 2x to get your normal size.

At least two sizes too small

I purchased these jeans in a 30. I'm typically between 29 and 30 so I thought I would try the 30 I could not even get them up past my thighs, so I sent them back and got a 31. They were just as small as the 30 so I also sent those back. Just be aware, size up.

Comments about High Rise ’90s Slim Straight Jeans

I never thought I'd find the pair of jeans… but these are IT. The GAP High Rise '90s Slim Straight Jeans somehow manage to be everything at once: structured but comfortable, classic but still on-trend. The high-rise fit is insanely flattering (snatches the waist in the best way), and the straight leg gives that effortless, vintage vibe without looking baggy or sloppy. The denim feels premium—thick enough to hold its shape, but with just enough give to stay comfortable all day. I've worn them dressed up with heels and a blazer and also casually with sneakers and a tee… and they work every time. Bonus: they don't stretch out after a few hours like so many other jeans. What you put on in the morning is exactly what you're still loving at night. If you're chasing that perfect 90s look without sacrificing fit or quality, stop scrolling—these are the ones.
