top of stretch band has NO stretch

I was so excited to try these shorts and when I went to put them on, I could barely get them passed my knees due to the tightness of the elastic band. It has less stretch than a hair tie. I wish I had read reviews before buying

I ordered my regular Gap jean size in these. I was a bit thrown at first as the full panel is fixed with some, but little, stretch so it's some work to get it over the hips and bump. But these are the only brand of maternity shorts that I don't have to hike up all day. When I'm closer to full term and looking for jeans in the fall, I'd size up from my regular size. Also, they have those button-tighteners on the inside!

The full panel is not stitched at the top with "stretchy" thread, so it is almost impossible to get over my belly and I'm only 15 weeks. I otherwise like the length of these, but there is also no stretch to the fabric itself. I'd pass on these.

I'm usually a 28/29 pre pregnancy and sized up to 31 since I'm in my third trimester. The belly band is SO tight. The shorts fit just fine & the style is cute but the band can barely get over my hips and has absolutely no stretch. Poor design unfortunately

i couldn't get the belly hand above my hips, forget my pregnant belly. It would be too small for the size even if these were maternity shorts.
