My 9 year old loves these. It would be better if they came in a slim fit as they are made big in the waist, but the size elastic in the waist is key. If I let her, my daughter would wear thee every day. I want a pair for myself too!!!
These are a nice color and fabric but they are not low rise.

gap.com/My daughter is 4'6" and about 58 lbs. size 8 is loose on her but I use the elastics inside ti adjust her waistline & it turns out fine. But the inseam is bit short. Please make the inseam to about 1.5 inches more.

gap.com/My daughter loves the jeans with bows. She finds them very comfy even though they don't have stretch. Because they're 100% cotton, they did shrink quite a bit after washing them in cold water and putting them in the dryer on low. They lost almost 2" in length, so I would recommend to size up!

gap.com/These are cute and the slim size fits my skinny tween well. But be aware that the distressed holes on color "Medium Blue Wash" do not have fabric behind them like some of the other colors do, so the hole at the hip goes through to the kids underwear, which seems like a poor choice for a girls garment. We have a really hard time finding pants that fit my daughter, so I'll put a patch behind the hip hole, but it's not ideal.
