I read in the comments that these fit smaller, but got my regular size, and they were a size too big. Also, I found the faded ripped pair did not look as good in person. They are also a thinner denim.

After reading the reviews I bought 3 pairs in 3 different sizes, hoping one of them would be the right fit. I experienced the same thing mentioned by many reviews here…the sizing, cut and material differ from pair to pair. Two of them are made of a thinner material and will fray terribly. The third is made of a thicker material and it seems like the fraying will be manageable. The cut though is just odd and I can't imagine any body type it would flatter. Almost like a barrel cut but in shorts. With the thinner material especially the shorts sag inwards in the bottom half of the leg. Who knows if anyone on the Gap product team reads these reviews, but in my experience the things people complain about are valid. All women want are clothes that are somewhat flattering with consistent sizing/fit and accurate measurements on the website. Trying clothes on in stores is usually not an option since even in a major city it seems like I cannot find all of the sizes I would need to try.

I bought these in my regular size 29 and they were tight in the thighs. would have probably had to size up 2 sizes for a fit like pictured For reference I'm 5'7" 155#.
