The bottoms fit true to size, but the top was tight around the armpits. We sized up and still had the same issues.

I have tried other brands over the years and my girls are tough on their swimsuits and I have been able to pass almost all of the sizes down to the next kid and then to my nieces. They are made well, wash well and the elastic doesn't fall apart. This one is a cute transition to the tween stage

The suit is extremely cute and seems to be excellent quality. I purchased the 6/7 for my petite nearly 7 year old and the bottoms are about two sizes too big! Such a bummer!

Nice fabric, great stripe pattern but terrible fit. Both of my kids had such high hopes for these as they love The Gap & we wanted to try the swimsuits for a spring break trip. We only tried the bottoms (total 3 sizes between the 2) & the crotch with was wider than normal & the front area was loose. Not something we could live with or actually wear! Maybe next time
