As description clearly states, it's oversized - I did originally order the XL due to it being 100% cotton, but ended up exchanging for a Large. The large is perfect oversized fit, I can wear on it's own and have it move with me, or it's big enough to double layer on cool days. *For context I usually wear gap XL shirts, and a large in the men's jackets. If this were a trucker fit, I would probably order and XL. So I recommend downsizing for the perfect fit. I do wish the pockets opened at the side, or were a side zipper detail. And I preferred the longer hemline done on last year's sample, but I absolutely love the neck detail. The wash is a beautiful light indigo - she's a keeper!

I typically wear XS in GAP outerwear so I was a little concerned I would be swimming in this oversized jacket. I ordered it in both XXS and XS to try. I am keeping the XS and returning the XXS. The XS is perfectly oversized, as it's designed. S would have fit fine if I wanted it closer to the body, but that wasn't the look I was going for. I had to take a second look at the sleeves to see what the other reviewers were talking about. Yes, it does flare out at the elbow, and then tapers back in at the cuff -- I believe that's to keep that oversized vibe but to keep it from having a belled wrist. I also agree this is more of a light wash.

I buy a lot of oversized products, but this item is simply enormous all over with a particularly strange and unnecessary sleeve shape. Sad because I really love the design and it would have been a good piece if Gap made it for your average girl. A case of trying to be cool, but interpretation poorly executed. Nicely made and wash is a great color. However, back it goes :(

Very cute vintage jacket. My only recommendation is to order one size smaller than you would normally wear due to it being oversized. Other than that enjoy.

I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs typically a size small in GAP tops. Size small is huge. Will be returning sadly

For tops, I usually wear petite S or M, depending on the style. My Gap jean jackets are petite S and I also got this in petite S. Unfortunately, had to return. The sleeves were just ridiculously voluminous, even for something oversized. I don't think an XS would've helped. As it says in the description, the jacket has "flap patch pockets." These pockets are top-access only, so you can't put your hands in the pockets from the side like you can with most jackets. Also, the colour option for this is named "medium wash" but the description says "light wash," and it is definitely light. Construction is solid and it's a stiff denim, not soft. I do like the style (aside from the pockets) but the sleeves are overwhelming for petites. #sweepstakes
