Curbside and In Store Pickup

Whether you're buying something for yourself or a gift for someone else, ordering is quick and easy.

Why are some products not available at my local store?

Merchandise inventory varies from store to store. Certain sizes, styles, and colors may change so check back at a later date. You can also search for specific styles, sizes, and colors and place an order to ship to your home.

Who can pick up my order?

You or your designated pickup person must pick up your order. Have your ID and confirmation email ready to show the store associate.

What do I need to pick up my order?

Bring your ID and be prepared to show the confirmation email printed or on your mobile device.

How long will my order be held at the store?

Orders made online and scheduled for Curbside or In Store Pickup will be held at the store for 5 days. If you have not picked up your purchases by the end of the 5 days, your purchases will be reimbursed.

How will I know when my order is ready to be picked up?

You will receive a notification email when your order is ready to be picked up. Most orders will be ready for pickup within 2 hours. The email will also include information on pickup hours, what to bring, and steps to take in order to pick up your order. In Store Pickup is available during store hours.

What do I do when I arrive at the store for Curbside Pickup?

When you arrive at the store, park in a place that is safe for both you and the store associate. Call the store to let them know you've arrived and provide the order number if asked. Open the trunk of your car so the store associate can leave items in the vehicle while maintaining social distance. Be prepared to show your confirmation email through a closed window upon request. The email can be printed or shown on a mobile device.

Why isn't Curbside or In-Store Pickup available at my store?

Curbside Pickup and In-Store Pickup are currently available at limited stores. Please check your store for availability.

If my store is open for both Curbside Pickup and In-Store Pickup, how do I pick?

Stores that indicate they have both Curbside Pickup and In Store Pickup are open. After placing your order online, you'll receive a confirmation email. When the order is ready, you will receive a second email with instructions on how to get your items. You'll be able to decide which option you prefer when you arrive at the store. If you want to pick up in store, simply enter the store during regular store hours and find the navigational signs or an associate to help with your order. Most stores have a designated area for In Store Pickup (plus you can skip the line!). Your notification email will also include instructions if you'd rather stay in your car for Curbside Pickup. If you're using Curbside Pickup, you'll call the store when you arrive and follow their instructions to get your items.

Can I select certain items to pick up and have others shipped?

Yes. You can do this at the online checkout by selecting Curbside Pickup or In Store Pickup for certain items, and selecting your preferred shipping method for the rest.

How do I return something from a Curbside Pickup or In Store Pickup order?

Stores that only offer Curbside Pickup are closed and can't process returns. If you would like to return any items originally received using Curbside Pickup, you can return these purchases by mail or in stores that have reopened. Stores that offer In Store Pickup are open so can process returns according to our existing Return Policy. The 45-day return window begins when your order is ready for pickup.

When will my credit card be charged?

A hold is placed once you complete the order, but your card isn't charged until the items are placed and ready for pickup.

What if the price I paid is different than the price on the item or the current selling price?

We'll honor the lowest price for you.

I've got a GiftCard! Can I use it as a form of payment for my Curbside or In Store Pickup purchase?

We are not able to accept GiftCards on Curbside or In Store Pick up purchases at this time. But there are so many great styles you can use your GiftCard on, online and in stores!

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. Just call the store you designated for pickup for assistance. (You can find the number using our store locator, here.) If you don’t call to cancel, and you don’t pick your order up within the 5-day period, your order will be canceled automatically.

To Place an Order Online

Add at least one item to your shopping bag and then go to checkout (or click the “Checkout” bag in the top right corner of the website).During checkout, you can select shipping options and gift options, enter payment information, and add billing and shipping addresses. You can also review your order before it's final, and make changes to the color, size, or quantity of an item.

What happens next?

After you place an order, an order confirmation immediately appears in the same window. The confirmation includes an order number. It's a good idea to write the order number down before closing your browser.

Within 24 hours, you receive an order confirmation email, which shows the same order number and provides a link to your order status page on the website. You can check the status of your order anytime by clicking the "Orders & Returns" link in the top right corner of the website.

When your purchase has been shipped from the warehouse, you receive a second email with tracking details. For more information on order tracking, see "Get the status of your order."

To Place an Order By Telephone

To order by telephone, contact us. Be sure to have all the details of your desired purchases handy, as well as your method of payment.

About Back Orders and Bulk Orders

Back orders: Sometimes items are not available at the time you want to purchase them. If you decide to place an order, these items are placed on "back order," which means your credit card is authorized for the purchase, but it's not charged until the items become available and are shipped to you. At the time you order, we provide you with an approximate ship date for your back-ordered items. Please note these dates are subject to change. If they do, we send you an email notification.

All back-ordered items ship via standard delivery.

Bulk orders: Our merchandise is not authorized for resale so, to enforce this policy, online purchases are limited to 10 items per style, per customer. However, there may be certain exceptions, such as for large family or company events. If you have bulk ordering needs, contact us.

"Bulk order" shipping costs: Large orders may be subject to extra shipping costs. The cost depends on how many boxes are required to ship your order, even if the order is not officially a "bulk order."

Prices, Limits, and Taxes

Price Adjustments

We offer a one-time price adjustment if an item is marked down within fourteen (14) days of the date on your purchase. To obtain a price adjustment on an online purchase, you must call 1-888-277-8953 or send us an email message at custserv@gapcanada.ca within the fourteen (14) day window. Include your order number in your email message. If you are within the deadline, we'll refund you the difference in your original form of payment. Items purchased with a promotional discount are not eligible for price adjustments. See the offer associated with the specific promotion for details. However, items purchased with rewards certificates or free shipping promotions are eligible for price adjustments. A price adjustment for an online purchase will not be made in a Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic store.

We will not make price adjustments on online purchases for items featured in clearance pricing events in Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic stores. Sorry, there are no returns or exchanges on final sale merchandise, either online or in stores.

Limits

Our merchandise is not authorized for re-sale, so in order to enforce this policy, online purchases are limited to ten (10) items per style, per customer. However, there may be certain exceptions to this policy. Please contact us at 1-888-427-1111 to discuss your bulk ordering needs. (Certain restrictions may apply).

Bulk Order Shipping Costs

Some orders may be subject to bulk order shipping costs. We calculate this cost based on the number of boxes required to ship your order. The cost of bulk shipping, if applicable, will be disclosed when you place your bulk order by phone and also provided to you in your shipment notification email.

Taxes

Tax Policy

Tax charges are based on applicable federal, provincial and harmonized sales tax rates based on the delivery address associated with your order. Where required, sales tax will also be applied to the shipping and handling charges. If you return an item for a refund, you will also receive a refund for the sales tax you paid for that item. You will not receive a refund for the sales tax you paid on the shipping and handling of that item, as the shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable once an item has been shipped. Tax Exempt Purchases

Tax-exempt purchases: If you're making a purchase for a tax-exempt organization or you're an individual who qualifies for a tax exemption, contact us. To ensure compliance with tax laws, we must receive completed forms and verify some information before a purchase can be placed without tax.
