I have all the barrel Jean pants that gap has to offer and all of the high waisted jeans are different. Some have looser waist lines. Some have faulty zippers some are more bigger than others. Recommend trying them on before you purchase
I bought the 28Petite along w/ the 28Regular length. Petite, is obviously shorter, but the waist was about 1/2 inch more narrow than the 28 regular. If this is a true petite sizing strategy, that's new to me. Anyways - the length was a cute short length - would graze teh tops of a sneaker/loafer ...

gap.com/I'm 5'7"/140lbs and typically a 6T in most Gap jeans. I have a 33.5" inseam but am pretty straight figure 28-29" waist/38.5" hips). Per reviews I sized up to 29T and they fit. The length hits just at the tops of my shoes though. The talls are maybe a 31-32" inseam. I wish they were about 1-2 inches longer to hit the floor with shoes on like the model but still cute. I got the light indigo distressed. If you like them even more baggy/loose, you could probably size up 2nd you have higher waist to hip ratio too. If you have a small waist, these jeans are probably more true to size.

gap.com/I originally ordered these in a 25 and while they fit in the waist they were very tight around the hips and rear. So, I ordered a size bigger. Same issue. There is zero stretch to these. I also found that the wash was completely different on the bigger size and their final sale unfortunately.

gap.com/These are CUTE jeans, they do run SMALL I'm usually a 14 regular and had to get a short 16 which I thought should be fine since they look baggier and almost touch the ground. I'm 5'4 and they are definitely capris now, they probably fit like a 12. I'm going to keep them & hope they fit me one day with my apron belly but I wish they weren't final sale so I could get a better size for me

oldnavy.gap.comI love these pants! Fit TTS for me. I'm 5'4" somewhere between 145-150 lbs and the 29's were perfect (my usual size). I originally wanted to try the 29 petites but they were out of stock at the time. I'm glad I went ahead and ordered the regulars because after trying them on I think the petites would've been shorter than I'd like.

I will be returning these. The cheetah pattern is very cute, the perfect shades of brown and black, but the fit it off for me. I am typically a size 8 and they fit great around my butt and thighs but the waist is huge. I can't even add a belt, it just all bunches up and looks weird. Too bad. #sweepstakes
