would be great without neck

It would be great with a turtle neck.  the current version makes me look ugly.  size down helps. I actually really love the sleeves and the fit, but that neck! Maybe on very tiny girls it is looking cute, but the bigger size, with bigger necks - just ugly.

I really liked the sweater as it's soft and comfortable but it's extremely oversized. I bought a small, regular and it looks like a large on me, 5'3", 135 lbs. The length is long, even worse, the body is very wide like a maternity top and the sleeve is very long but can be folded up. I didn't like the bell bottom - like sleeves which were 7 inches wide, across. Sad to return it as I think even the XS would look huge on me and there's no remedying the wide sleeve bottoms.

It is oversized BUT it is a beautiful soft sweater. I usually take a L but sized down to a M. My friend is the same sized and she kept the L and belted it with a wide belt. You wont regret this purchase.
