I've been purchasing these for many years. The fabric and weight are perfect. Unfortunately the new neckline in the last two years stretches out and doesn't lie flat after a few washes making it look a bit messy. I hope they bring back the old neckline for the modern tee line!
First I want to stress how much I love these t-shirts. I own them in three colours and have lived in them for 2 years. They washed a dream…I wore them out literally! I decided to pick up 2 new white t's last week and am soooooo disappointed. They are silkier rather than the original cotton rich hand...

gap.com/I fell in love with this "Modern T" about 5 years ago. Ever since, I have been trying to buy them every year, but Gap changes the material they are made with every year. Now, I just bought 8 of them (02/2026) and in one order they are made out of 3 different materials. Even made in 2 different place (Cambodia & Guatemala) The best ones they ever sold were made in Indonesia.

The color dark brown is very nice but the material is a thin jersey which I don't like...not sure if I will keep it. "Sweepstakes"
I have purchased these modern tees in the past and this version is SO clingy; fabric just doesn't drape the same. I tried sizing up and it did not help. It was really u flattering as it just bunched up everywhere. Love the brown colour though.
