As others have commented, the belt is thinner then the photo appears. It is less then the advertised 1.18" when using a ruler.

gap.com/I forget to look at the specs before buying these. This one is just a little bit over 1" and resembles a woman's belt. While it could look good with some clean line suits, it's much too skinny for me to wear with casual pants like khakis from GAP. I returned it immediately without opening it. This and other belts by GAP are very high quality leather though. I really couldn't help but think of one of Wally Cleaver's belts! Very 50s
