Really nice! But true size up

I bought these in a 30 after some of the reviews mentioned sizing up and I'm glad I did. Pre-pregnancy I'm a 28/29, so got the 30s and they are great! Fit with some extra room for the tummy to grow. The actual jeans don't have a ton of stretch so be aware of that, but they are comfortable and the be...

Strangely Constructed and Inconsistent

As per other reviews that these fit tight, I did order 2 sizes- one, 1 size up from my normal size and one 2 sizes up from my normal size. The fit is super inconsistent. The 32 Short, in the dark wash, which was 1 size up from my normal size, fit perfect on the legs and waist. However the top of t...

Comments about Maternity True Waistband Full Panel Girlfriend Jeans

They fit great and are very comfortable - it's nice to look like I'm just wearing my usual jeans!!! I did need to size up one size, the very top of the waistband where it is sewn isn't as elastic as the rest of the material and I couldn't get my usual size over my bump.

After alteration, I love these

As so many others have mentioned, the top of the full panel does not stretch. At all. The elastic is stitched in, and the thread doesn't stretch with it. I used a seam ripper to take that whole part of stitching out (which took over an hour for me), and now they fit perfectly. I was worried that the elastic would travel down inside the panel after doing that, but I haven't had a problem with it. I ordered my normal size but in tall, despite being 5'5", because I knew that they would be shorter than I wanted.

Comments about Maternity True Waistband Full Panel Girlfriend Jeans

Bought these jeans in my usual size (28) and I couldn't even get them past my thighs because the waistband in the panel has ZERO stretch and is 2+ inches smaller than the wait of the jeans. Would have returned but I accidentally took the tag off so I ended up cutting the sides of the panel so I could try getting them on. I bought the Maternity True Waistband Full Panel Vintage Slim Jeans and the panel has 30x the stretch so not sure what the problem is with these ones…save your money.

I have never had an issue with ordering long or tall sizes from Gap in the past - in fact, they are one of my go-to merchants for tall sizes because I am 5'11." It's even harder to find tall sizes in maternity clothing. But I was very disappointed with the length of these "long" jeans. The inseam ended up being a measly 27" long, which came in well above my ankle. That inseam is shorter than most regular pants on the market, and more comfortably fit my 5'5" partner. I don't know how Gap considers these pants to have a long inseam. The waist band was also very snug - and I am only in my second trimester, and paid attention to the size guide provided. I will definitely be returning these pants and very much question the quality control for Gap sizing in maternity wear.

You can look cute in jeans with a baby on the way!

I don't know if I just got a bad pair, but the belly band elastic has ZERO stretch. The legs and waist band are the right size (since I can slide one leg entirely in the jeans), but the elastic won't even stretch for me to get the jeans all the way up, let alone over my belly.

Not for me.

I'm 20 weeks and sized up from my normal pre-pregnancy size 26 to a 27 and they fit decently well: Unlike the other reviews, I have no issues with the panel/band and believe it should stretch/last me through the pregnancy. However, I already have to unbutton the "button" for comfort due to where it hits on my belly. My tops cover this part anyway though so not a major issue. Overall cut of jeans are cute and what I was looking for. I'm 5'3" and the short hits right above the ankle for the "trendy" length.

I sized up from a 27 (my size in non-maternity Gap jeans) to a 28 since a lot of the comments said that these run small and I should not have done that -- the 28 is definitely too big. They of course stay on because of the elastic band so I am making them work, but I'd take your regular size. They are very cute! Would recommend.
