Bought this sweater last year in grey and it has washed up wonderfully. I always use the warm or hot setting in our machine and the fabric is still like new. I don't find it rough like some have mentioned. When you're used to a lot of polyester, I can understand that natural fabrics like cotton can ...feel "rough" but I can assure you this sweater is not. I appreciate that you can still buy sweaters that are not cropped and are actually appropriate for little girls. We're starting to shop more in the boys section for this reason - and quality is somehow always better?! And GAP - get your girls stuff out of your teen section and vice versa!!! 8 year olds are not teens!!!!!
There is metallic thread in this sweater, which is not anywhere in the description nor is it visible in the photos. My daughter has sensitive skin and found it somewhat rough and scratchy. Disappointed.
