I've been buying these T-shirts for over a decade now, and they always change the fit slightly every year. I always take a medium, and it's actually on the loose side typically but this year it's quite a bit tighter under the arms, which makes it a little bit more uncomfortable. I always buy a size ...large for T-shirts to wear around the house so I can just throw them in the washing machine and dryer and then come out soft and slightly smaller. For a T-shirt that I wanna wear out I always get the medium and have to hang dry them, which means they don't get as soft.
I live in GAP V-neck t-shirts all through the year and have for many years! As a teacher of very young children they originally held their shape, fitted well and washed well. NOW!!!! These are the worst shaped t-shirts I have ever bought from GAP! I keep trying them out in hopes that the original sh...aped shirt with a smaller, closer V (so that it doesn't lose its shape as the picture of another customer shows) and the heavier cotton as in the original ones return! These current shaped shirts (2 or 3 years now) have a boxed fit with boxed shoulders (they can't even modify the shoulder to fit with the petite size! Further, I can never understand why there is limited colours in the Petite sizing as compared to the regular size. What does GAP think - petite women don't like colour choice? GAP has lost my business so off I go again to replenish my t-shirts with another company!!!

Compared to all the colours, the fabric is completely different from the Black and One tops. They do not feel like organic thin tops. I'm not sure what happened, but the quality isn't there.

This t-shirt is a must have for every closet. Fit well, affordable, durable and stylish. Pairs with jeans, shorts and skirts. I love to layer with a high neck undershirt for a whole new look. This season's version is really nice. There is just enough thickness to be substantial and have a bit of structure and it is soft. There has been an improvement to the neckline stitching which is more likely to hold its shape and not buckle or get misshapen with washing or use. Take note: I ordered a couple online and was shipped an old one and made a mission to the closest store to exchange it for the newer version. Considering getting more — I hope they expand the colour range.
